Area Interest Meetings in April 2017

So You’ve Had a Claim, Now What?

An industry issue affecting contractors and AHJ’s.  We need to all work together to maintain the image of our Life Safety industry.

Did you know that in 65% of all claims filed against Fire Protection Contractors the contractors did nothing wrong? This means no matter how good you are in your contracts and workmanship you most likely will be sued at some point. We have answers that have been tested and work.  These Best Practice concepts help us prepare for claims that can hurt not only insurance premium costs but also often gives our industry a Black Eye.

The contractor needs to have records that will be helpful to attorney when loss occurs and AHJ often is involved with first responders and has incident report and power to investigate
